Overview
This film strip is about the development of carpet design, beginning with Egyptian kilim. It was produced by the International Wool Secretariat, which was founded in 1937 to promote the sale of wool on behalf of woolgrowers and review relevant research. It was formed by the wool boards of New Zealand, Australia and South Africa.
The film strip was one of the resources used in the educational programme at the School of Home Science in the University of Otago in Dunedin (established in 1911).
