This poster was produced by the New Zealand AIDS Foundation to disseminate safe sex messaging through six different masculine, cultural and professional identities.
It was the result of a 'Safe Sex Poster Boy' competition held the year before which was a contest for gay and bisexual men to become the ‘next safe sex poster boy’. The competition called for a ‘businessman, regular guy, sportsman, party boy, bear’.
