Overview
This spoon, knife and fork cutlery set was used by a tramper in New Zealand.
The pieces clip together saving space, and are made from lightweight aluminium. The knife has a stainless steel blade.
These cutlery sets were first used by soldiers during World War Two (1939-45).
Tararua Tramping Museum Trust
These items are from the collection of the Tararua Tramping Museum Trust, which was established in 1989 to acquire and display tramping artefacts. The cutlery set was selected to represent developments in tramping equipment and aspects of the tramping experience including food and cooking.
