Overview
This pair of miniature rugby boots is a souvenir of the 1924-25 All Blacks tour of the United Kingdom, Ireland, France and Canada. The boots belonged to David Gray, a member of the official tour party, who was responsible for looking after the coin for the toss and the kiwi mascot that travelled with the team.
The 1924-25 All Blacks touring team won all 32 of its overseas games. Nicknamed ‘The Invincibles,’ the team scored 838 points and conceded only 116. It is still remembered as one of the greatest All Blacks sides of all time, and was inducted into the New Zealand Sports Hall of Fame in 1990.
