Overview
This Art Nouveau tile, decorated with a stylised botanical design, was made in England between 1900 and 1910. Some sources attribute the tiles to W & E Corn of Longport, others to The Henry Richards Tile Co Ltd of Pinnox.
This tile is from the Walter C Cook Collection of Decorative Arts. Over a twenty-five year period, Wellington collector Walter Cook developed a significant collection of British and European decorative arts. In 1992 he gave his collection to the National Museum, now known as Te Papa.
