First day at school photo of Sasha and Luca Gibbon

This photo shows Luca and Sasha Gibbon on their first day at St Ignatius Catholic School in St Heliers, Auckland. They are five years old - the age most New Zealand children start school.

The photo is part of a group of objects collected to represent some of the key moments and everyday life of six year old Sasha and Luca, who are participant in Te Papa's Collecting Childhood project. This is an ongoing project that includes children in the University of Auckland's Growing Up in New Zealand research.
