Overview
This folder held the menu for The Balcony night club upstairs on 57a Victoria Street, Wellington, which ran from 1968 to 1979.
Also known as 'Le Balcon' and 'Balcony Internationale', it was a popular night club, strip club and performance venue run by the iconic transsexual Carmen Rupe, from the late 1960s to 1970s. Many of the staff were transgender.
