Overview
In 2010, this certificate and letter were presented by the New Zealand Government to the daughter of Margaret Josephine Rogers (née Mitchell, 1917-97) who had been a Land Girl during the Second World War (1939-45). A badge was also given.
It was a belated official acknowledgement of the significant contribution of the Land Girls to New Zealand's well-being and economy during the Second World War.
