Overview
This child's sleeping bag with dacron filling and metal side zip is made from holiday themed printed fabric. A 'Beachcomber model', the bag was one of two used by members of the Jensen family when they went on caravan holidays in the South Island in the late 1960s.
The manufacturer, Arthur Ellis & Company Ltd, is famous because Edmund Hillary used one of its 'Fairydown' sleeping bags in 1953 as a member of the successful Mt Everest expedition.
