Performance artist Mika was given this pink Air New Zealand bag when he went on a ‘Pink Flight’ to Sydney.
In 2008 Air New Zealand put on special flights for people who wanted to attend the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. The ‘Pink Flight’, as it was called, was specifically marketed at the LGBTQI+ community. On the flight were 'drag queen' performances, pink cocktails, and a cabaret performed by the crew.
