Overview
This beautiful white debutante dress was worn by pianist Jennifer Timmings when she was 18 years old and presented at Government House in Auckland in 1956.
The dress was made by Mrs Lois Clark who copied the design from an English fashion magazine, possibly Harpers.
Jennifer married in December 1956 and then in January travelled to London, by ship, to attend Trinity College and study the piano under the guidance of Miss Gladys Puttick.
For Jennifer it was one of the most 'wonderful times' in her life.
