Overview
This batwing sleeve dress was designed by Trelise Cooper under her Limited Editions label in the mid-1980s. A former shoe and jeans model, Cooper boldly launched her first label in 1984, after completing pattern-cutting nightclass. Within six months, she established her own workroom, and opened retail outlets in Auckland and Wellington.
Under the Limited Editions label, she produced elegant, European-inspired clothing for professional women and for the social scene.

The 1987 stockmarket crash witnessed the demise of Cooper's Limited Edition label in 1988. After a break from the industry, Trelise Cooper relaunched her eponymous label in 1997. Today, the company boasts three labels - Trelise Cooper, diffusion range Cooper by Trelise and Trelise Cooper Kids, and stockists across Europe, America, Asia and Australasia.
