Overview
This figurine representing an Australian soldier of the First World war is one of a series modelled and produced by Royal Doulton towards the end of the War. The figurines, of an Australian, a British and a New Zealand soldier depict men in off-duty situations, but all show a sense of determination in their poses and facial expressions. This reflects Doulton's intention to honour the courage and resolution of rank-and-file British and Anzac troops.
