Overview
This figurine representing a New Zealand soldier of the First World War is one of a series modelled and produced by Royal Doulton towards the end of WWI. The figurines, of an Australian, a British, and a New Zealand soldier, depict soldiers in off-duty situations, but all show a sense of determination in the poses and facial expressions. This reflects Doulton's intention to honour the courage and resolution of rank-and-file British and Anzac troops.
