Overview
Depicts a close-up view of the porch of the pataka (storehouse) 'Nukutewhatewha' showing details of paepae (threshold), pare (door lintel) and kowhaiwhai patterned porch rafters. The carving above the door is said to depict Wi Tako Ngatata's wife Te Hamene and their baby daughter Merenia/Merema? Nukutewhatewha was built by paramount chief Horonuku Te Heu Heu of Ngāti Tuwharetoa.
