Overview
When feminist Germaine Greer toured New Zealand in 1972, she promoted Delfen foam spermicide as a safer contraceptive than the pill – a dubious claim.
But in the 1970s and 80s, many women successfully used Delfen along with condoms. When government regulations forbade the use of ozone-depleting chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), the product was withdrawn.
