Overview
These plastic ski boots were worn with skis in the 1980s. Plastic began replacing leather in the mid 1960s. It dramatically improved stiffness and control, along with durability and warmth.
Buckles close the openings of the boot to form a stiff cylindrical form. Rigid soles attach to the ski at toe and heel spring-loaded bindings which release in the event of a fall.
