Overview
A very fine rain cape, weft twined with muka (NZ flax fibre) in whatu aho patahi (single paired twining). The outer surface is covered in strips of harakeke that have been doubled over and twined into the aho (weft stands). Some of the lengths of strands also make up the whenu (warp foundation). Strips of dyed black huka huka are placed throughout for contrast.
