Ballerina Daisy
Daisy dolls were very popular in New Zealand and were sold and marketed by Toltoy NZ Ltd. They were first created in 1973 by British dress designer Mary Quant and werepromoted as 'a girls best friend' and 'the best dressed doll in the world'. The doll was given the name Daisy after the daisy flower logo used by Quant.
Mary Quant was known for her new and striking designs including mini skirts, hot pants and brightly patterned tights which were modeled by Twiggy and Jean Shrimpton.
