The firstKen doll was introduced by Mattel in 1961 as the fictional boyfriend of toy doll Barbie. Ken has had many different looks over the years. In 1961 he was a clean-cut, blond-haired, blue-eyed doll.
This 1983 version was named Crystal Ken and has been dubbed "the handsomest Ken ever." Originally dressed in a white suit and topped with brown hair, he was a sharp-dressed man. However, this particular doll is wearing a more casual home-made shirt and shorts set.
