Overview
The object of this board game was to create 'positive attitudes towards recycling resources and caring for our land amongst children and adults'.
The game dates from the 1970s, when environmental issues were being championed up by the newly-established conservation movement. Around this time, ecological ideas gained greater prominence around the globe, and New Zealand's first 'green' political party was formed.
This game was designed by Bob Reynolds, a former school teacher and newspaper advertising representative. He created two other board games: 'The Holiday' in 1970 and 'New Zealand Road Safety' in 1975.
