Overview
These artificial flowers and ceramic hand, complete with gold wedding ring, originally adorned the wedding cake of Fanny Mason and Fred Randolph Blackburn, who wed in the Hutt Valley on 17 August 1910. The flowers would have matched the white icing of the cake.
Fanny Mason, who was from Manakau, and Fred Blackburn celebrated a 'quiet wedding' at the home of the groom's parents, in the presence of family and friends.
