Overview
July, 13th. 1944. My darling Wife, I am taking advantage of this opportunity to write you a few lines through the courtesy of the Japanese Authorities at this Camp. Your last letter that I have received was dated 15-8-43, I was pleased that you are well. I have several letters from Elsie, the last one dated February 17, & saying that you, Doll, Walter & Jack were quite well, that is, February of this year, which is quite well. Mrs. Emmerson also sent me a letter, you will no doubt have heard from her. Doll has written many times & I have received several. I do hope that you are still keeping well & remember me to your friends, tell Stephen whenever I have the opportunity to write to him I will do so, remember me to him & to Zella & Walter, of course do not forget Elizabeth. I am keeping very well & my hand is healing very nicely. Lots of love. Your devoted Husband. Stephen. xxxxx
