This plastic printed tablecloth was produced for the 1953 coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
Each corner features a black and white photogrpahic portrait of Her Majesty and her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh. Thry are surrounded by the national floral emblems of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland (rose, daffodil, thistle and shamrock). In the centre is a bouquet of floral emblems from countries in the British Commonweatlh, including protea from South Africa, wattles from Australia, and ferns from New Zealand.
