A tall ceramic urn based loosely on the Greek amphora shape, comprising three main sections. The two upper sections are connected by handles. Drawn onto the body in a fine linear style in black over a white slip, are autobiographical references that include american fast food signs and images of american guitarist Willie Nelson.

Paul Maseyk is a leading New Zealand ceramic artist who is steadily developing an international reputation. His work has grown out of a domestic pottery practice and today largely focuses on individual works that combine a strong narrative approach with a considerable monumentality in form .
