Full length portrait of a Maori man and woman in front of a whare hui (meeting house), either side of one of the amo (facing carvings). They are both wearing korowai (cloaks adorned with black tassels). The woman is seated on the ground on the right. The man is standing, holding a kotiate (short hand weapon) and wearing a feather in his hair.
