Eighteenth and nineteenth centuries
Te Papa has a collection of some 600 mainly British drawings and watercolours. Highlights of this collection are works by Thomas Girtin, John Sell Cotman, David Cox, Samuel Prout, and Thomas Rowlandson.
A small collection of watercolours and drawings complement Te Papa’s larger collection of twentieth century British paintings, and includes works by Winifred Knights, Anthony Gross, Paul Nash, David Jones, Edward Burra, and John Tunnard.
