A well carved and proportioned whale ivory tiki inset with paua shell inlay eyes. This tiki belonged to the Church Missionary Society missionary, the Reverend Richard Taylor (1805-1873). and is believed to have been presented to him at the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840.
