Overview
Narritjin Maymuru was a community leader and passionate artist. He passed on the art of bark painting to two of his sons, Manydjilnga and Banapana, and his nephew, Baluka. In 1978, Narritjin and Banapana became the first Aboriginal artists to receive an artistic fellowship – at the Australian National University.
