Overview
Charles Frederick Goldie set up his art practice in Auckland after training in Paris. One of his favourite early models was Ina Te Papatahi, of the Ngāpuhi iwi (tribe). She regularly sat for him and his students – among them Maud Burge – in the ‘most bohemian studio south of the line’.
