Overview
Te Mana Motuhake o Tūhoe created this T-shirt in protest against the controversial anti-terrorism raids that the police carried out around Ruatoki, Bay of Plenty, in 2007.
The t shirt features the Tūhoe flag motif as well as the words 'Remember October 15th' and was worn as a form of visual protest in support of those raided and charged, and of tribal identity.
The Tūhoe flag emblem was designed by Timoti Worrall, Riaka Hiakita, and Tāmati Kruger.
