Child's painting: 'She tells us to sit in the chair'

This is part of a group of four art works drawn by first year primary school children after their first visit to a school denal clinic. It depicts a dental nurse asking a child to sit in a dental chair.

The class teacher has added text at the bottom of the picture to help tell the story of the class's visit.

The free School Dental Service was a government initiative that was the primary mode of delivery for children's dental health care for most of the 20th century.
